About the Company
Eagle Theater Corp (“ETC” or the “Company”) is a small movie theater operation based in Illinois. The Company is transitioning from the traditional movie exhibition model and is instead focusing on expanding the experience by provide multiple avenues of entertainment and maximizing the revenue per square foot. Founded in 2004, the theaters have become a cornerstone for movies, video gaming, virtual reality, axe throwing and other entertainment mediums.
Situation
With the onset of the COVID pandemic, Eagle Theater Corp had to a put a hold on the expansion efforts. Despite being successful in their own regard, the safety regulations and health precautions caused a damper on the amount of foot traffic in movie theaters nationwide. As it became safer to attend in person, the Company reignited their expansion and growth plans and needed the appropriate amount of funding in order to fulfill their build out plans for their theater locations.
Solution
Alantes secured a $2,925,000 Small Business Administration term loan that allowed the Company to refinance some of their existing debt and consolidate it. In addition, the Company received working capital that allowed ETC to expand and build out some of the operations in the various theater locations that would increase sales and provide a more well-rounded experience for all attendees.
