About the Company
Sunday Afternoon is an award-winning independent branding agency and talent platform headquartered in New York City. Founded in 2016 by Juan Carlos Pagan and Ahmed Klink, the Company was established with the vision of combining the strategic rigor of a world-class branding consultancy with the creative freedom of an artist-led studio. Today, Sunday Afternoon partners with globally recognized brands to develop distinctive identities, integrated campaigns, and creative experiences that resonate across culture and commerce.

Its work spans brand identity systems, integrated marketing campaigns, product launches, editorial design, experiential activations, and multimedia storytelling that help brands create meaningful and lasting connections with consumers.
A defining characteristic of the firm’s business model is its artist-first philosophy. By blending a multidisciplinary creative studio with an artist management platform, Sunday Afternoon brings together diverse creative perspectives while maintaining the agility of an independent agency. This collaborative approach enables the Company to assemble highly specialized teams for each engagement, resulting in innovative creative solutions that are strategically grounded and culturally relevant.
Situation
As Sunday Afternoon continued to expand its client portfolio and grow its reputation as one of the industry’s premier independent creative agencies, the Company sought a long-term financing solution that would support its continued strategic growth and strengthen its capital structure.
With increasing opportunities to invest in creative talent, operational infrastructure, and long-term business development initiatives, ownership sought stable financing that would provide additional flexibility while preserving liquidity for future expansion. Juan Carlos Pagan and Ahmed Klink engaged Alantes Corporate Finance (“Alantes”) to structure a financing solution tailored to the Company’s operating model and long-term vision.
Solution
Alantes worked closely with ownership to structure and secure a $2,600,000 conventional term loan designed to provide long-term financial stability while supporting the Company’s continued growth initiatives. The facility was customized to align with Sunday Afternoon’s operating cash flow and strategic objectives, providing flexible capital to support future investments across the business.
The financing enhances the Company’s balance sheet and positions Sunday Afternoon to continue expanding its award-winning creative platform, investing in world-class talent, and delivering innovative branding solutions to an expanding roster of global clients.
“From the very beginning, Alantes approached our business with genuine curiosity and a clear understanding of where we wanted to go,” said Juan Carlos Pagan, Co-Founder of Sunday Afternoon. “They structured a financing solution that gives us the flexibility to continue investing in our people, our creative capabilities, and the long-term future of the agency.”
Ahmed Klink, Co-Founder, added, “The process was collaborative, efficient, and thoughtfully executed. Alantes recognized that our greatest asset is our creative talent, and they delivered a capital solution that allows us to continue building an agency that serves both our clients and our artists at the highest level.”
With the new financing in place, Sunday Afternoon is well-positioned to continue expanding its capabilities, attracting exceptional creative talent, and producing award-winning work for brands around the world.
